Title: Information Technology - Help Desk / IT Service Delivery Intern
Location: Raceland, LA
Position Overview: The IT Intern supporting Help Desk / IT Service Delivery provides frontline technical support to end users while gaining hands-on experience with structured service delivery and customer support best practices.
Role Focus: End-user support, issue resolution, and service management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist users with basic IT issues via tickets, phone, or in person
• Support account setup, password resets, and software installations
• Update and maintain IT knowledge base articles and FAQs
• Help track and report on service desk metrics
• Escalate issues appropriately following IT service workflows
• Set up and deploy new workstations, laptops, and other IT equipment
• Support IT asset lifecycle management by tagging, tracking, and maintaining inventory records
Skills Developed: Customer service, troubleshooting, ticketing systems, IT service management.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Skills & Abilities:
• Basic understanding of IT concepts, such as programming languages, database management, and cybersecurity
• Basic typing skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to interact professionally with company personnel
• Adaptable to new technologies and new situations
• Detail-oriented and able to prioritize and manage your workload effectively
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong desire to learn and improve your skills
• Must be at least 18 years of age
