UX Director

As the UX director at Setplex, you will shape the future of user experience in the streaming industry, driving innovation and positioning Setplex as an industry leader. This role is pivotal in establishing a visionary UX strategy, while remaining actively involved in strategic research, design direction, and optimization.

This is a high-impact, strategic role for a bold UX leader—someone who brings fresh ideas and a clear vision for the future of streaming experiences, not simply a manager of design tasks or teams.

You will lead, inspire, and mentor a team of UX professionals, fostering a culture centered on user advocacy, research-driven design, and measurable impact. You’ll ensure all UX initiatives deliver intuitive, accessible, and compelling experiences that align with business goals and user needs.

Visionary Leadership:

• Define and drive the strategic UX vision across Setplex’s product ecosystem, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives.
• Identify and integrate emerging UX trends, technologies, and methodologies to keep Setplex ahead of the curve.
• Represent Setplex as a UX thought leader in relevant industry events and publications.

User Experience Design Excellence:

• Oversee the end-to-end UX design process, including user research, journey mapping, wire framing, prototyping, and usability testing.
• Develop robust frameworks for understanding user behavior and translating insights into actionable design strategies.
• Collaborate with UI designers and developers to ensure high-quality execution of UX strategies.
• Build and lead a high-performing UX team with expertise across research, content design, IA, and usability.
• Cultivate a user-first mindset within the team, promoting continuous learning and innovation.
• Provide mentorship, feedback, and growth opportunities to help team members reach their full potential.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with product management, engineering, and marketing to embed UX into every stage of product development.
• Clearly communicate design rationales and user insights to stakeholders across functions.
• Champion a user-centered approach in cross-functional planning and prioritization.

User Research Strategy:

• Establish scalable research operations, including qualitative and quantitative studies, to guide product decisions.
• Use insights from analytics, A/B testing, and user feedback loops to iterate and improve product experiences.
• Embed research practices into the product development lifecycle to ensure ongoing empathy and understanding of user needs.

Professional

Experience:

• 8+ years of experience in UX design or research, with 3+ years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven success building user-centered experiences, ideally in the streaming, OTT, or IPTV sectors.
• Portfolio demonstrating strategic impact and deep engagement with the full UX process.

Technical and Strategic Expertise:

• Proficiency in UX tools such as Figma, UXPin, Maze, , or similar platforms.
• Strong grasp of behavioral science, user research methodologies, and accessibility best practices.
• Familiarity with front-end development processes to facilitate effective collaboration with engineering.

Creative and Analytical

Skills:

• Strategic thinker with a deep understanding of interaction design, usability heuristics, and content strategy.
• Ability to translate complex problems into intuitive user journeys and workflows.
• Comfort interpreting data and analytics to drive continuous design improvements.
