LSU Health New Orleans is seeking to fill a Client Support position with an eager, motivated individual who provides great IT service as a top priority. This position reports to the IT Project Coordinator and is a member of the School of Medicine Client Support Team. This team provides software and hardware support for all Basic Sciences and Clinical Sciences departments, Centers of Excellence, and Administrative Sections of LSU Health New Orleans School of Medicine.
This technical position is a member of the School of Medicine’s Information Technology staff and will provide end‑user support for LSU Health New Orleans School of Medicine Departments, to include: software installs and maintenance; workstation and laptop support and troubleshooting; local area network (LAN), wireless, and VoIP phone troubleshooting; AV and videoconferencing support; support of research hardware and software including integration with lab equipment;
research of specs and ordering of new computers; processing old equipment for surplus; printer/copier support; and other IT‑related projects as assigned by the IT supervisor. The incumbent will work in coordination with the Department of Information Technology to adhere to IT policies, standards, and procedures. This position takes direction from a higher‑level analyst or the IT Project Coordinator.

Bachelor's degree (Bachelor of Science) from an accredited four‑year college or university. - Discipline(s):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited four‑year college or university. - Relevant full‑time professional experience supporting end‑user needs including hardware, software, inventory, and ticket management.
- Indicates if any combination of specific experience, training and education may be substituted for the required education or experience.
- Preferred Education:
Discipline(s) Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or Information technology‑related curriculum. - Preferred Certifications/Licenses: IT 1 – Six months or more, IT 2 – 3 to 4 years, IT 3 – 5 to 8 years of desktop support, system administration, and related experience in a large corporation.
