Martin Fed has opening for a Software Engineer SME to support software maintenance and Department of Defense (DoD) systems across a variety of mission-critical environments. In this role you will provide technical expertise in software maintenance, testing and evaluation, documentation, information assurance, requirements management, and systems engineering disciplines.

• Provide functional and technical subject matter expertise
• Support systems and operational requirements development and analysis
• Perform data analysis related to personnel and manpower systems, data flows, and interfaces
• Support test and evaluation activities to ensure system functionality and performance
• Develop and deliver training support for system users and stakeholders
• Provide guidance on DoD systems, data flows, interfaces, and underlying data structures
• Collaborate with government and contractor teams to support mission objectives
• Serve as a technical advisor and recognized expert to leadership and stakeholders

• Technical training in functional and/or technical support
• Fifteen (15) years of hands-on experience
• Experience in at least three (3) of the following areas:
• Systems Requirements
• Operational Requirements
• Data Analysis
• Test & Evaluation
• Training
• Recognized expert with demonstrated industry and/or public service leadership (federal, state, or local) in:
• DoD systems
• Data flows
• Interfaces
• Underlying data
• Active Secret Security Clearance

• Prior experience supporting DoD or federal systems
• Familiarity with C4
  
  ISR environments
• Experience working in classified or secure environments
• Strong understanding of systems engineering lifecycle processes
• Ability to work independently and as part of an integrated team

• Work must be performed on-site
• Working on a computer for long periods of time.
• May involve long period of sitting at a desk.
• The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures.
