Job Description
We are hiring a Lead Cloud Engineer to own and optimize our Azure and OCI infrastructure. This role blends strategic planning with hands‑on engineering, focusing on automation, monitoring, and vendor management. You’ll lead modernization efforts, drive AI‑powered automation, and ensure high availability, security, and cost efficiency across our cloud platforms. The offered salary is $100,000.
Key Responsibilities- Lead cloud strategy, architecture governance, and roadmap development.
- Manage performance, capacity, and disaster recovery for cloud workloads.
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates and automation using Power Shell and APIs.
- Deploy and optimize enterprise monitoring tools with AIOps integration.
- Champion generative AI use across engineering workflows.
- Own vendor relationships (Microsoft, Oracle, Accenture); handle contracts, SLAs, and cost optimization.
- Govern OS/platform lifecycle: patching, hardening, and EOL migrations.
- Mentor team members and lead resolution of major incidents.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architect and Service Management Lead on environment design and change coordination.
- Experience:
8+ years in cloud engineering, 3+ years in leadership roles. - Skills:
Azure/OCI architecture, IaC, CI/CD, Windows/Linux, networking, DR, performance tuning. - Tools:
Power Shell, APIs, Service Now, enterprise monitoring platforms. - Soft Skills:
Strong communicator, vendor negotiator, incident leader. - Education:
Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field (or 12+ years of relevant experience). Certifications (Preferred):
Azure Solutions Architect Expert, OCI Architect Professional, ITIL v4.
