Human Resource Coordinator & Assistant
The Human Resource Coordinator & Assistant supports the daily operations of the Human Resource Department serving as a key role for a growing and fast-paced Oil and Gas Industry service company. The position entails providing comprehensive administrative support to day-to-day operations of Human Resources ensuring the efficient delivery of response to departmental program needs and related functions.
The HR Coordinator & Assistant provides employee lifecycle administration, payroll, compliance, reporting, programs documentation and tracking while collaborating closely with other department management teams. The role supports and liaises closely with location and corporate human resources, payroll, safety, training, and operations departments throughout the organization providing an internal customer focused and effective HR support service to the organization to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
The position is ideal for a tech-savvy, detailed oriented HR Professional with strong HRIS-Payroll Systems and data management experience, and experience or an interest in learning to leverage AI and automation to improve HR processes.
Salary Range: $40K - $50K (DOE)
Qualifications:Desired Experience
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ Years of experience in an HR administrative, coordinator, or assistant role
- Strong experience with HRIS and Payroll systems
- HR Professional Certification
Preferred
- Extensive experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Proficient data entry experience with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
- Experience with Oil & Gas Service Industry compliance

Minimum Qualifications:
- Intermediate to strong proficiency in HRIS/Payroll Systems, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, & Internet Explorer
- Intermediate to strong base of knowledge with federal and state (Louisiana) laws (DOL, FMLA, etc)
- Effective problem-solving skills.
- Office professional appearance
- Competent keyboard skills to produce accurate and well presented reports.
- Should be an effectual communicator verbally as well as through writing & presentation skills.
- Ability to operate under moderate pressure.
- Able to deliver effective results, meet tight deadlines and targets.
