Personnel Manager

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Personnel Manager based in Larose, Louisiana.

The Person nel Manager will oversee aspects of human resources and personnel management.

Responsibilities include:

• Helping facilitate vessel crew payroll
• Managing employee relations
• Maintaining applications, resumes, documentation, credentials of employees
• Performing background checks on prospective employees
• Arranging travel for crew changes
• Scheduling off time and back to work time for deckhands and captains
• Scheduling grocery deliveries to vessels / coordinating with grocery stores, operations management and vessel crew
• Improving HR processes.
• Assisting newly hired employees with benefits paperwork
• Administering enrollment / termination of employee benefits
• Identifying and hiring top candidates for employment
• Ensuring operational compliance with company policies and supporting a positive and productive work environment

• Experience in Payroll Administration and HR Management
• Strong skills in Personnel Management and Employee Relations
• Proficiency in Performance Appraisals and related assessment techniques
• Excellent organizational, communication, and decision-making skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and maintain confidentiality in a flexible, and fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with local labor laws and compliance requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred)
• Previous experience in a maritime or logistics environment is an asset
