Job Title: HR Manager
Responsibilities- Provide field and corporate support with emphasis in associate relations, front-line associate recruitment, training and diversity.
- Consult with and advise management on policies, procedures, and programs related to associate relations, recruitment, training, and diversity.
- Coordinate and conduct management training related to areas such as terminations, sexual harassment, and performance management.
- Investigate and advise management on appropriate resolution of associate relations issues.
- Coordinate and conduct exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
- Make recommendations to reduce absenteeism and turnover.
- Represent the organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations as needed.
- Support internal customer surveys and associate satisfaction interpretation/feedback processes.
- Attend Operational meetings to increase HR visibility, conduct classroom training, provide assistance, and implement HR initiatives.
- Coordinate and conduct management training related to interviewing, selection and hiring; assist managers in developing and implementing recruitment plans to increase qualified applicant flow.
- Provide support and tools to unit management to build relations and make presentations at schools, organizations, community associates, and job fairs regarding the organization and opportunities.
- Support SSC sector and provide direct assistance in critical markets; identify critical needs areas and take appropriate steps to rectify problems.
- Coordinate and conduct new hire orientation and management training related to this area.
- Conduct HR Assessments and prepare/present HR-related topics at Field Operations Workshops for HR Training and Development.
- Regularly conduct HR-related training (e.g., Sexual Harassment, Progressive Discipline, HR 101).
- Support Preferred Employer objectives and HR business plan by attending and participating in operational meetings.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.), Master’s preferred.
- Two to five years of multi-unit HR generalist and associate relations experience.
- Experience in a high customer contact setting.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- SPHR/PHR Certification preferred.
