This position requires supervising, training and inspecting the performance of assigned Housekeeping staff to ensure all procedures are completed to the established standards. The supervisor will assist where necessary to ensure optimum service to guests.

• Supervise staff in the performance of all daily procedures to ensure they are completed to standard.
• Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards.
• Prepare and distribute assignment sheets to staff and review priorities.
• Inspect guest rooms, corridors, elevator foyer area, vending area, service area including linen closet, staff restroom and storage area.
• Inspect public areas/bathrooms, restaurants, offices and service areas after cleaning using designated checklists.
• Assist staff with their job functions to ensure optimum cleanliness and service standards for guests.
• Apply proper cleaning techniques and chemical handling, and use of equipment.
• Perform computer mathematical calculations reliably.
• Maintain attention to detail, speed and accuracy in all duties.
• Maintain confidentiality of guest information and relevant hotel data.
• Identify departmental training needs and provide such training.
• Direct performance of staff and follow up with corrective actions when needed.
• Input and access information in the property management system/computers.

• Prior housekeeping experience.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Ability to stand or walk for an extended period during an entire shift; requires repetitive motion.
