JOB SUMMARY
The Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) provides comprehensive, patient-centered primary care services in a Rural Health Clinic (RHC) setting. This role emphasizes preventative care, chronic disease management, acute care treatment, and health education for patients across the lifespan. The FNP works both independently and collaboratively with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure high-quality, accessible healthcare in an underserved rural community.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSEducation and Training: Must be a Licensed Nurse Practitioner in the State of Louisiana. CPR and ACLS certification are required.
Work Experience: Experience desirable but not required.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to move about the office and facility to perform job functions and provide services as well as access various departments and patient care areas.
- May remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time.
- Perform manual dexterity tasks such as taking vital signs, administering injections, and utilizing medical equipment
- Constantly position self, such as bending, stooping, etc. to maintain and access office and medical equipment and provide patient care.
