Assists senior lab personnel with animal colony, science experiments, poster preparation and maintenance of inventory of lab supplies such as reagents, pipets and restock supplies.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Knowledge of basic scientific technology
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to manage and maintain animal colony
- Genotyping and provide mutant mouse for further experiment
- Knowledge of basic laboratory safety requirements
- Computer skills dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information
- Analytical skills necessary to operate laboratory computers, printers and laboratory equipment
- Self-directed with the ability to work independently
- Ability to read and perform basic math calculations
- Perform routine lab work/tasks assigned by PI and supervisor
Education and/or Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent with no experience required
- Preferred Bachelor’s degree and one year of directly related experience
This position is classified as "non-exempt, hourly" and is assigned to pay grade 20.
