Overview
Under general supervision, performs high complexity analysis and procedures specific to the laboratory (biochemical, molecular, cytogenetic); operates and maintains laboratory equipment needed to perform daily duties; increase productivity and maintain proficiency in the wet lab and analysis sections;
Continue to gain knowledge appropriate to laboratory (biochemical, molecular, cytogenetic); adhere to laboratory policies for safety, conduct, and performance; participate in continuing education.

- Excellent laboratory record keeping and maintenance skills
- General knowledge of Microsoft Office software
- Knowledge of general laboratory and blood borne pathogens safety practices
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Biological sciences or a related field
- Minimum one (1) year laboratory experience or science related coursework
- ASCP certification or other equivalent board certification or eligible
- LA State Licensed or eligible
