JOB SUMMARYUnder the direction of the Rural Health Director you are responsible for obtaining required information, admitting patients, and making appointments for patients in an efficient manner, in accordance with established policies and procedures directed by your supervisor.

All Rural Health personnel, Physicians, and the public.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSEducation: High school diploma or equivalent.
Work Experience: Desired, but not required. 2 years of clerical experience preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to read and write effectively
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively when completing several tasks at once
- Strong organizational skills
- Maintain confidentiality of patient and company information
- Strong customer service skills
- Familiar with medical terminology
- Proficient with computers and ability to learn computer software
- Remain in a stationary position for long periods of time
- Occasionally move about the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Position self to maintain files in file cabinets
- Constantly operates a computer and other office machinery such as computer printers, scanner, etc.
- Ability to observe details at close range
- Occasionally assist patients such as pushing, pulling, transferring, etc. up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to move boxes, equipment, etc. up to 10 pounds across the office for various needs
Has exposure to blood borne pathogens.
