Essential Functions: The Emergency Room Technician assists professional staff by performing care activities and providing noncomplex services necessary for patients and families. Responsibilities include delivering care as directed, maintaining departmental policies, quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
Education/Experience
Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent OR 2 years of experience in a related clinical area.
- Licenses and
Certifications:
American Heart Association Basic Life Support Health Care Provider;
Non-Violent Crisis Prevention, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI training recommended during orientation);
Preferred: Emergency Medical Technician-Basic
- Must have had basic training in nursing assistant, medical corpsman, or EMT training.
