and
one (1) year of experience in that classification.

permanent status as a parkways maintenance supervisor (formally titled parkways maintenance supervisor ii)
and
two (2) years of experience in that classification.

five (5) years of experience in tree maintenance, the maintenance of large turf areas using a variety of grass mowing equipment or in the propagation and maintenance of a large variety of plant life. One (1) year of this experience must have been supervisory.
note: a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in forestry park management, agronomy, landscape architecture, horticulture, botany, plant science, floriculture
* or closely related field may be substituted for four (4) years of the required experience.
note: an associate's degree from an accredited college or university in forestry park management, agronomy, landscape architecture, horticulture, botany, plant science, floriculture
* or closely related field may be substituted for two (2) years of the required experience.
* candidates for forestry positions must also possess a current louisiana arborist license.

this position requires a one (1) year probationary period.
a rating of training and experience, weighted 100%.all related previous experience will be considered for qualification purposes; however, credit on the rating of training and experience will only be given for experience gained within the last ten (10) years.
