Job Description:

  • The Auditor III is responsible for supporting regulatory filings, xx-related documentation, and quantitative analysis of xx schedules.
  • This role performs detailed reviews, prepares regulatory data, conducts peer reviews, and ensures compliance with jurisdictional requirements.
  • The position requires strong analytical capabilities and the ability to translate complex financial and regulatory data into meaningful summaries.
Requirement/Must Have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Math, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills with the ability to develop detailed spreadsheets.
  • Ability to perform detailed analysis and convert findings into meaningful summaries.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Experience:
  • 1–3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with regulatory filings.
  • Background in Accounting, Finance, or Mathematics.
  • Experience in research or auditing preferred.
  • Utility industry experience preferred.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead preparation of updates to xx-related documents used by other departments.
  • Perform detailed review, analysis, and oversight of xx filing documents, work papers, and supporting schedules.
  • Prepare quantitative analysis of xx schedules to evaluate customer bill impacts.
  • Prepare and interpret tariffs and tariff calculations related to fuel, purchase power, capacity, energy efficiency, environmental, securitization, and other cost recoveries.
  • Document and assist in interpreting regulatory order filing requirements.
  • Prepare regulatory data for filings, including pro forma adjustments to historical information.
  • Perform cost of service allocation for filings and develop rates for reasonable cost recovery while maintaining equity and financial stability.
  • Conduct peer reviews for xx cases, fuel filings, special riders, and other regulatory filings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with jurisdictional requirements.
Should Have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
  • MBA or CPA preferred.
