The role is well-suited for a finance professional with strong analytical capabilities, experience working with operating companies, and the ability to partner effectively with management teams in a private equity environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner closely with portfolio company CFOs and finance teams to improve the accuracy, timeliness, and consistency of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
  • Assist in the development and refinement of management reporting packages, KPIs, and dashboards tailored to each business.
  • Review financial statements and operating results, identify trends and variances, and help management teams understand key drivers of performance.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes at the portfolio company level.
FP&A & Value Creation Support
  • Help implement best-in-class FP&A processes, including standardized reporting templates, forecasting methodologies, and performance metrics.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analyses related to pricing, margins, cost structure, working capital, capital expenditures, and growth initiatives.
  • Support value creation initiatives by providing analytical insight into operational improvements, organic growth, and acquisition opportunities.
  • Assist with integration planning and financial reporting for add-on acquisitions.
  • Serve as a financial liaison between Carr’s Hill and portfolio company management teams.
  • Support internal investment and portfolio review processes by preparing and reviewing financial analyses and presentation materials.
  • Assist with financial due diligence and modeling in connection with new platform investments and add-on acquisitions.
  • Coordinate with external advisors, including accounting firms and consultants, as needed.
Process Improvement & Financial Infrastructure
  • Evaluate existing financial systems, processes, and controls at portfolio companies and recommend improvements.
  • Support CFOs in strengthening internal controls, forecasting discipline, and financial planning capabilities as businesses scale.
  • Help establish consistent financial reporting standards across the portfolio while respecting business-specific needs.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred but not required.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in FP&A, corporate finance, consulting, or transaction services.
  • Experience working with middle-market or lower middle-market operating companies; private equity–backed experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills.
  • Solid understanding of financial statements, operational drivers, and performance metrics.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities across several portfolio companies.
  • Collaborative mindset with a hands‑on, solutions‑oriented approach.
Why Carr’s Hill
  • Opportunity to work directly with portfolio company leadership and influence real‑world operating decisions.
  • Broad exposure across multiple businesses, industries, and growth stages.
  • Entrepreneurial, team‑oriented culture with direct access to investment professionals and firm leadership.
  • Meaningful role in helping build scalable financial infrastructure across the portfolio.
