Position Overview:Chief Financial Officer
The Chief Financial Officer provides executive oversight and strategic direction for all financial functions across the property, including Accounting, Cage and Credit, Financial Planning and Analysis, Payroll, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Receiving. This role ensures compliance with GAAP, gaming regulations, and internal controls while driving financial performance, capital planning, and long‑term growth initiatives.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Leadership & Strategy
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analytics related to revenue, labor controls, capital expenditures, and strategic initiatives.
- Partner with the General Manager to develop and execute long‑term financial strategies that support expansion and profitability.
- Analyze marketing investments, staffing models, and capital projects to guide executive decision‑making.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to executive leadership and lenders.
Financial Operations & Compliance
- Ensure accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of all financial reporting and data.
- Maintain full compliance with GAAP, gaming regulations, and federal and state tax requirements.
- Review daily financial reports and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Oversee the preparation of monthly financial statements and annual operating budgets.
- Serve as the primary financial liaison with regulatory agencies and auditors.
Departmental Oversight & Internal Controls
- Establish and enforce financial policies, procedures, and performance standards.
- Review departmental reports to identify risks, conflicts, or control gaps.
- Oversee contract administration, vendor agreements, and compliance with internal controls.
- Ensure financial practices align with organizational objectives and regulatory standards.
Leadership & Communication
- Lead and develop the financial management team while fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Facilitate regular finance department meetings and cross‑functional collaboration.
- Serve on the Operations Committee, providing clear financial insights and guidance.
- Identify and mentor high‑potential finance professionals across the organization.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of gaming‑industry experience at a Director level or higher.
- At least 4 years of finance or financial analysis experience within a gaming environment.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis or general ledger accounting in gaming operations.
- CPA certification or a Master's degree preferred.
- Deep understanding of how operational decisions impact financial performance.
- Advanced expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cost analysis.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and executive communication skills.
- High proficiency in financial modeling and advanced spreadsheet tools.
