Solidworks Drafter; Hybrid

Position: Solidworks Drafter (Hybrid)
Location: New Orleans

Intralox has an opening for a Solidworks Drafter to assist engineers, project managers, and field service technicians, as needed, with the design, development, and installation of industrial equipment for our customers.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Creating Solidworks drawings and solid models for new projects
• Incorporating drawing changes for product improvement and produce "As Built" drawings
• Maintaining project Bill of Materials
• Communicate with fabricators and vendors about technical aspects of the equipment
• Managing the group's PDM system
• Report generation, etc.

Responsibilities:

• Assist engineers with 2D drawings and 3D solid modeling for new equipment, product design changes and plant layouts
• Create/maintain bills of materials for the manufacturing of equipment
• Maintain engineering documents using Product Data Management systems
• Assist engineers with large and/or emergency projects as needed
• Follow field work as needed for context (e.g. research problems, monitor tests, installations and startups)

Requirements:

• Associate degree or technical/vocational training in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field, or 2+ years of experience using Solid Works or similar 3D CAD software in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Self-managed, detail oriented, team-player with good written and oral communication skills
• Proficient with Windows and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point)
• Fluent in written/spoken English
• Solid Works or Pro Engineer (or equivalent) 3D software experience
• Experience with operating within a PDM system
• Experience with sheet metal fabrication
• CAD experience
• Mechanically competent

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Solid Works
  
  Certifications:
• Certified Solid Works Professional - Advanced Sheet Metal (CSWPA-SM)
• Certified Solid Works Professional Advanced Drawing Tools (CSWPA-DT).
• Proficient with Microsoft Project and Oracle products
• College or vocational/technical degree
