Position Overview: Bollinger is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Piping Design Intern for a full-time, on-site summer internship at our Lockport facility. This opportunity is ideal for students pursuing a degree in design or a related field who are eager to apply their academic knowledge in a professional, real-world environment.
Key Responsibilities- Gain hands-on exposure by shadowing a Designer, observing project workflows, and learning best practices in project execution.
- Producing pipe spool drawings and arrangement drawings.
- Actively participate in project meetings, taking notes, contributing ideas when appropriate, and supporting effective team collaboration.
- Support the maintenance and organization for recurring documentation, helping ensure project records are accurate, up to date, and easily accessible.
- Education: Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in design or related degree field.
- Technical
Skills:
Basic proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with AutoCAD, Ship Constructor, or similar engineering software is a plus. - Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, a proactive attitude, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
