The Role

Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.

Responsibilities
  • Research, develop, design, and test electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks.
  • Design electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
Must Have
  • 2 Years with Bachelor of Science degree in related field.
  • 0 years of relevant with a Master's Degree.
Nice to Have
  • Previous shipbuilding experience, especially with combat systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and AutoCAD.
  • Experience managing all activities associated with shipboard systems, including establishing technical requirements and overseeing system integration.
  • Background in researching, developing, and designing electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks in alignment with contractual, military, and commercial specifications.
  • Ability to develop and review procurement specifications, evaluate vendor proposals, and approve vendor‑furnished information for use in construction products.
  • Experience collaborating with vendors and Navy technical representatives, supporting design reviews, and participating in testing activities.
  • Familiarity with creating drawings and documentation in accordance with Mil‑Specs and contract requirements.
  • Strong cross‑discipline coordination skills to ensure seamless integration of assigned systems into the ship environment.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot technical issues, provide sound technical decisions within assigned areas, and support shipbuilding production teams as needed.
