Responsible for all facets of maintenance, including safety and environmental compliance, the safety of personnel, and efficient and effective maintenance of company assets. This role oversees reliability, availability, and safe maintenance of dredging equipment, fixed and rotating equipment, slurry systems, dewatering systems, conveyors, screening systems, cyclones, dryers, elevators, dust mitigation equipment, and electrical / controls infrastructure. Actively involved in the planning activities during the design phase and projects and leads all operational maintenance actions.

Takes a proactive approach to maintenance planning using preventive and predictive techniques based on data, experience, and OEM recommendations. Coordinates efforts with the operations team to maximize equipment availability and continually improve maintenance and production operations. Presents a positive and professional image to customers, employees, peers, and the public.

• Directly supervises maintenance activities through respective Supervisor(s).
• Assures that Safety and Environmental is very prominent in the Operations environment through demonstration and enforcement of all Company Safety and Environmental standards.
• Develop and maintain complete preventative and corrective maintenance plans for mine and sand processing facility.
• Lead, train, and mentor maintenance technicians, electricians, mechanics, and contractors.
• Prioritize and schedule daily, weekly, and long‑term maintenance tasks to support operational uptime.
• Implement and maintain reliability best practices, such as root cause analysis, lubrication programs, and equipment condition monitoring.
• Coordinate third‑party maintenance services, equipment rebuilds, and major overhauls.
• Source and manage critical spare parts inventories.
• Assist in the preparation of detailed efficiency studies and analyzes operations to conceptualize needs and determine requirements for the maintenance of equipment in conjunction with operational needs.
• Coordinate with Operations and Engineering teams to optimize plant performance.
• Assist the Plant Manager and Operations Manager with the preparation of annual maintenance budget, as well as periodic updates and forecasts.
• Maintain detailed preventative maintenance plan for all facility equipment, ensuring tasks are placed and maintained within the CMMS.
• Maintain professional and high‑level contact with customers, vendors and management.
• Ensure scheduled system repairs and maintenance are coordinated and clearly communicated with departments to minimize downtime.
• Responsible for understanding and complying with contractual obligations to ensure that requirements are met.
• Consolidate data and prepare weekly and monthly activity reports as requested.
• Administer personnel management functions of subordinate staff, including recruitment, orientation, training, evaluation, scheduling, disciplinary actions and termination.
• Will be on On‑Call 24 hours per day and 7 days per week, delegating coverage when out of the area.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co‑workers, subordinates and company officers and managers, clients, vendors and suppliers.
• Maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
