Senior Mechanical Engineer – New Product Development

This role offers a hybrid work arrangement: you will work three days a week in the office and two days remotely.
Responsibilities- Design, modify, and review nuclear power plant systems, including preparing modification packages for operating nuclear power plants.
- Create functional mechanical drawings and system drawings for nuclear power plants.
- Conduct engineering analyses and evaluations to support plant modifications and operations.
- Develop technical specifications and procurement documents for plant equipment.
- Evaluate vendor bids for plant equipment.
- Perform studies and evaluate options for modifications to operating nuclear power plants.
- Develop engineering cost estimates for small to mid‑sized client‑requested work scopes.
- Visit client offices or plant sites to interface with clients and make presentations related to engineering tasks and status.
- Lead engineering project teams.
- BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the power industry.
- Working knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations that apply to mechanical engineering design of nuclear power plants.
- PE license is beneficial but not required.
