Entry Level - Structural Engineer - Bridge Design

Overview

The New Orleans, LA office of Modjeski and Masters, Inc. is seeking Entry Level Structural Bridge Design Engineers

• At minimum a BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited College or University
• Entry Level (0-4 years related Bridge Design Experience)
• Ideal candidates will have a valid EI certification, or in the process of obtaining.

• Review and check standard structural design calculations.
• Perform structural analysis and design of standard bridge components using analysis software.
• Develop preliminary details using CAD software and provide information to CAD technicians for development of contract plans.
• Provide information for design reports.
• Communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing.
• Prepare project-related documents and internal correspondence.
• Perform and check quantity take-offs from contract plans.
• Review and check drawings.
• Use engineering analysis software such as LUSAS, RISA-3D, LEAP Bridge, AutoCAD, Micro Station, etc.
• Able to learn and correctly apply relevant design specifications, including: AASHTO, AREMA, AISC, ACI, etc.

As a Structural Bridge Design Engineer with Modjeski and Masters, you will work on a variety of challenging and rewarding bridge engineering projects for a myriad of transportation clients.
