Position: PRINCIPAL ENGINEER (CLASS CODE 4023)

responsible administrative and professional engineering work in directing the activities of a major division of a large municipal engineering department in the development, construction, and maintenance of engineering projects; and related work as required.
qualifications
registration as a professional engineer and license to practice in louisiana. Out-of-state registrations are acceptable. However, any applicant who is not registered as a professional engineer in louisiana must, if hired, show proof of such registration during his or her probationary period. No person may receive permanent status until this requirement has been met, and no probationary period may extend longer than one year.- permanent status as a senior engineer and one (1) year of full-time experience in that classification.
