• Implement and administer safety programs at each worksite for team members.
• Assist project management team in developing and executing site‑specific safety programs and activities.
• Attend, coordinate, and conduct safety orientation and training programs at the project level.
• Document and track all safety violations, unsafe conditions, etc.
• Conduct work area safety audits.
• Collect and analyze project leading and trailing indicator data/documentation.
• Assist with major incident analysis.
• Record, monitor, and analyze safety, injury, and hazard statistics.
• Coordinate OSHA reporting and posting requirements.

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, occupational health, or a related field.

• High school diploma, STS/CHST certification, OSHA 30‑hour training, and a minimum of seven years of continuous construction experience leading crews and planning work. Five years of responsibility for managing safety programs at the crew or project level is required.
• Minimum of one year of related experience.
• Detail‑oriented with the ability to organize and manage multiple project tasks.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and pertinent safety‑related software programs.
• Positive and professional attitude with strong customer‑service skills.
• Ability to interpret and communicate company policies to team members and outside parties.
• Strong teamwork orientation, initiative, communication, problem‑solving, and leadership skills.
• Effective public speaking and presentation skills.
• Current driver’s license.
• Ability to travel up to 100%.

Base pay range: $81,800 MIN – $110,400 MAX. (Higher for Denver, CO; Chicago, IL – 5%; Seattle, WA; Portland, OR – 10%; Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).

Position eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
