Role Description

This is a full‑time, on‑site position for a Theology/Religion Teacher at Cabrini High School in New Orleans, LA. The teacher will deliver engaging and comprehensive instruction within the Catholic faith tradition to students in grades 8‑12. Primary responsibilities include crafting and executing lesson plans, facilitating meaningful classroom discussions, assessing student progress, and supporting students in their spiritual and academic journeys. Collaboration with colleagues and involvement in school activities and events is also expected to foster the mission of the school.

Qualifications
  • Proficient in designing and implementing lesson planning and teaching strategies
  • Strong skills in education and training, with expertise in delivering material to students in a clear and inspiring manner
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging students, parents, and staff effectively
  • Commitment to fostering an environment aligned with Catholic values and traditions
  • Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Religious Studies, or a related field; relevant teaching certifications preferred
  • Experience teaching theology or religion at the middle or high school level is a plus
  • Ability to collaborate with a team and contribute to the school’s mission and activities
