As a Before & After Care Worker, you will be responsible for assisting in maintenance of an orderly, safe and pleasant atmosphere in the cafeteria, on the playground and in other designated locations by helping and supervising students during authorized before or after school programs in accordance with CSUSA policy and established school procedures.

• Maintain an orderly, safe and pleasant atmosphere in designated areas (cafeteria, playground, and other locations) during before and after school programs.
• Assist and supervise students, enforce CSUSA policies and school procedures, and reflect a professional demeanor with students, parents, and staff.
• Follow proper student sign-in and dismissal procedures for Before Care and After Care.
• Monitor students and observe entrants and exits of childcare areas.
• Distribute snacks and supervise activities; engage with students during play and homework support.
• Tutor and assist students with homework as needed.
• Resolve conflicts with children and parents in a courteous and professional manner.
• Report to the Director of the Before and After Care Program and to the school principal.

• High school diploma or higher education credential.
• Previous experience as daycare assistant or summer camp counselor is preferred.
• Must like children and demonstrate a commitment to CSUSA values.
• Such alternatives to the above requirements as CSUSA may find appropriate and acceptable.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

• Usual school working conditions; may be noisy during high student traffic.

• No physical exertion required.
• Somewhat stressful due to frequent student activity.
• Light work:
  Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force as frequently as needed to move objects.

Job is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
