Physician – Critical Care Anesthesiologist
Ochsner Health in New Orleans is seeking a board‑certified critical care physician (BC/BE) to join our team of four Critical Care Anesthesiologists. Preference is given to those who are dual BC/BE in Anesthesiology; all training backgrounds will be considered.
The position consists of approximately 25 % clinical time in Critical Care Medicine, with the remainder as mixed operative practice in our Surgical ICU. The ICU serves 34 beds and cares for a wide range of cardiovascular, mechanical circulatory support (ECMO, LVAD, IABP), and vascular surgical patients, offering exposure to high‑acuity and complex cases.
Qualified candidates will have a strong interest in academics and research. Ochsner is a teaching program with accredited residency, Adult Cardiac Anesthesia, Pulmonary Critical Care, and Neurocritical Care fellowships. The Anesthesiology department includes 70 anesthesiologists, over 100 CRNAs, and more than 45 house staff, with an annual case volume exceeding 52,000.
Experience with critical care or fellowship training is welcomed. Residents and fellows are encouraged to apply.
Location:
New Orleans, LA. Salary range: $234,000–$312,000. Position has been open for 2 months.
