Open Date DescriptionThe Department of Family Medicine at Tulane University School of Medicine is seeking a full-time Family Medicine physician.
The ideal applicant will have a strong background in academics, however, all qualified candidates will be considered. As a full-time Faculty member of Tulane University, you will receive the Academic Rank of Assistant Professor and a competitive salary commensurate with experience, and also a fully comprehensive benefits package. This physician will have direct patient care responsibilities as well as teaching responsibilities in the classroom and in the clinic.
Tulane University School of Medicine is located in the Central Business district, within walking distance of the historic French Quarter and Canal Street, and close to the Mississippi River and scenic St. Charles Avenue.
QualificationsKey Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and manage primary care patients.
- Collaborate closely with specialists, nursing staff, and support teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Participate in the education of medical students.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives and adherence to best practice protocols.
- Maintain complete and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Attend and contribute to departmental-wide meetings and conferences.
- Participate in research and scholarly activity, if applicable.
Qualifications
MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited family medicine residency.
- Eligible for medical licensure in the state of Louisiana.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching and academic excellence.
- Interest in quality improvement, health disparities, or primary care research.
