Physician - Pediatric Heart Failure/Heart Transplant Cardiologist
We are recruiting a pediatric cardiologist to direct our Pediatric Heart Failure/Heart Transplant Program in New Orleans, LA. The position includes care of patients with cardiomyopathies, heart failure, transplant, congenital heart disease, and ventricular assist devices. Candidates will join two heart failure/transplant cardiologists and a newly hired heart failure/transplant physician assistant in the only pediatric heart transplant center in Louisiana. The transplant team is supported by dedicated transplant coordinators, transplant psychologist, transplant social worker, transplant pharmacist, and palliative care team.

BC/BE in pediatric cardiology and completed an advanced fellowship in pediatric heart failure/heart transplant or minimum of 5 years of experience in the field.
Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical care for patients with pediatric heart failure, heart transplantation, and congenital heart disease.
- Perform cardiac surgeries and procedures as per team.
- Educate residents, medical students, and fellows.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and consults.
- Contribute to program development and quality improvement.
Qualifications:
- BC/BE in pediatric cardiology.
- Advanced fellowship in pediatric heart failure/heart transplant or at least 5 years of experience in the field.
- Strong clinical, teaching, and team‑based skills.
Ochsner Children’s Hospital includes a 67‑bed Level IV neonatal intensive care unit, a 14‑bed PICU, and a 12‑bed pediatric cardiovascular‑ICU. The physician will collaborate with these teams as part of comprehensive care.
