Freelance Production Assistant

The TAK Group is a New Orleans–based event production and operations company supporting festivals, galas, cultural events, and experiential activations. We’re building a reliable bench of freelance Production Assistants to support multiple projects throughout the year.

Production Assistants support our production and operations team with research, coordination, logistics, and documentation. This role is primarily remote, with occasional work at our facility, on-site event support or local production runs as needed.

• Research production items, vendors, and cost estimates
• Request and track vendor quotes, availability, and orders
• Support budgets, timelines, and production trackers
• Assist with logistics, deliveries, and load-in/load-out planning
• Help coordinate event labor, schedules, and call times
• Support run-of-show documents, checklists, and internal notes
• Errands and general running

• Prior experience in event production, logistics, or production assistance preferred
• Strong organization, communication, and follow-through
• Comfortable with online research, spreadsheets, and email
• Ability to manage multiple tasks across overlapping projects
• Familiarity with live events, festivals, or galas is a plus

• Reliable transportation for occasional local production runs and on-site support
• Flexible availability around event timelines, with increased support leading up to event dates
