Job Summary /

Description:

KTIV is seeking a Weekend Anchor / MMJ to join our newscasts. The right person needs to be a great communicator on-air and online. The right person is the newsroom leader on weekends. They must have a great attitude and work well with others. Their relationship with those on the assignment desk and reporters in the field is critical to a quality product.

A strong on-air, conversational presentation is a must. You'll work three weekdays as an MMJ. You produce and anchor the newscasts on the weekends and help update the station website and social media.

Duties/Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

- Developing and executing unique content daily, in collaboration with newsroom management.

- This person must be creative, energetic, competitive, and a problem-solver with strong communication and reporting skills.

- The ideal candidate demonstrates compelling storytelling, photography, and videography skills that go beyond press releases.

- Can quickly confirm and send out rapidly developing stories on air and online.

- Strong on-air delivery and speaking voice

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Excellent writing skills, news judgment, and ethics

- Degree in Journalism or Communications

- Driven to enterprise organic news content

- Understands digital/new media platforms and strategy

- Smooth and effective delivery of content for live broadcast

- Strong work ethic, organizational and leadership skills, and the ability to make deadline

- Integrity, accountability, teamwork
