The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Construction Assistant Superintendent to help lead and manage large‑scale construction projects. This includes overseeing the entire project lifecycle from feasibility to completion, developing project strategies, plans, and budgets, and assembling qualified project teams. The role also involves scheduling, coordinating, and supervising craft employee activities, which may include supervising various trade groups (electricians, boilermakers, carpenters) in different construction disciplines such as civil, structural, and electrical.

Location
You can be located anywhere in the US if you are highly willing to travel to client projects on a long‑term basis.
Responsibilities- Project Planning and Strategy:
Plan and supervise construction activities, including determining methods, manpower, materials, equipment, and schedules. Ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, and schedules. - Team Leadership:
Coordinate work with different crafts, departments, or contractors. Resolve construction problems and maintain communication with unions. - Resource Management:
Monitor safety program compliance and document corrective actions. Ensure materials, equipment, and inspections support project schedules. - Stakeholder Engagement:
Communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including executives, clients, and vendors, to ensure alignment and address concerns. - Performance Monitoring:
Track project progress through metrics and reporting; adjust plans to meet changing requirements. - Quality Assurance:
Ensure all deliverables meet required quality standards and regulatory compliance. - Innovation and Improvement:
Seek ways to optimize processes and improve project outcomes through innovative technologies or methodologies.
- A high school diploma or equivalent, and five (5)+ years of supervisory experience in facility construction technology, commercial or industrial projects.
- Experience on Commercial or Industrial projects with budgets of at least $15M.
- A valid driver’s license in the US and a valid passport; willingness and ability to travel; travel estimated at 70%+.
- Advanced understanding of construction scheduling and cost control.
- Experience supervising, motivating, and mentoring cross‑functional teams.
- Proven track record of maintaining high safety standards and delivering quality outcomes.
- Experience in identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks.
- Ability to thrive in fast‑paced, dynamic environments and adapt to changing project requirements.
