Estimator & Procurement Specialist

The Estimator & Procurement Specialist is responsible for estimating labor and material costs for repairs, new product sales, and projects, while managing the procurement of parts and materials. This role supports project managers and the production team by ensuring accurate pricing, timely material delivery, and efficient purchasing processes. The position is key to maintaining cost control, quality, and customer satisfaction through effective supply chain and vendor management.

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and quotes for project managers, covering labor, materials, and services.
• Identify and qualify suppliers for both common and hard-to-source components, maintaining accurate vendor records.
• Place and manage purchase orders, verify confirmations, and monitor order status for timely delivery.
• Expedite orders, resolve supply chain issues, and coordinate logistics with internal teams and third-party vendors.
• Collaborate with project managers, production, and inventory teams to ensure accuracy and alignment of procurement activities.
• Maintain up-to-date records of pricing, purchase histories, and competitive bids for future planning.
• Communicate proactively with suppliers and internal teams to meet production and customer deadlines.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and improved vendor relationships.
• Provide regular updates to management and production teams regarding order status, delivery schedules, and project estimates.
• Perform additional tasks or special projects assigned by supervision.

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or relevant technical coursework preferred.
• Prior experience in estimating, procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or a related role
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with the ability to develop accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, and services.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to track pricing, purchase orders, delivery schedules, and vendor information.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to coordinate across internal teams and external suppliers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
