Sage Construction LLC, a growing public‑sector construction dargestellt in South Louisiana, is looking for a Preconstruction / Estimating Manager to own our estimating function and build the department that fuels our operations. This is a leadership role, not a take‑off‑only position.

The Preconstruction / Estimating Manager will be responsible for:

• Owning bid strategy, pricing, and risk evaluation
• Leading the estimating process from pursuit through submission
• Making go / no‑go recommendations on public projects
• Reviewing plans, specs, scopes, and subcontractor coverage
• Mentoring and developing junior estimators
• Partnering with project management to ensure clean handoffs

• 8+ years of estimating and/or preconstruction experience
• Experience with public‑entity work (vertical, government, municipal, DOT, utilities, schools, etc.) preferred
• Strong judgment around risk, competitiveness, and margin
• Comfortable saying "no" to bad work
• Experience leading or mentoring others
• Organized, decisive, and accountable
