We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Regional Business Head to lead our operations across West and Central Africa. This role is pivotal in driving business growth, establishing strategic partnerships, and expanding our market presence in this diverse region. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales leadership, market development, and team management within the consumer goods or personal care industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive business strategies to drive market share growth and achieve revenue targets in the West and Central African regions.
Market Expansion: Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, including entering new markets and segments, to expand our footprint.
Sales Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate regional sales teams to meet and exceed sales objectives, ensuring alignment with overall company goals.
Partnership Development: Establish and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key stakeholders to enhance distribution networks and brand visibility.
Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to understand consumer needs, competitive landscape, and emerging trends, informing product development and marketing strategies.
Budget Management: Oversee regional budgeting and forecasting, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial targets.
Compliance and Reporting: Ensure all regional operations comply with local regulations and company policies, providing regular performance reports to senior management.
Qualifications:
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years in sales and business development roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position within the consumer goods or personal care industry.
Regional Expertise: Proven experience managing business operations in West and Central Africa, with a deep understanding of the regional market dynamics and cultural nuances.
Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, with strong decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in English; knowledge of French or other regional languages is a plus.
Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to a rapidly changing business environment and work effectively in a multicultural setting.
