Job Description
The Tire Installer’s primary responsibility is to add value to each client’s transaction ensuring that they are satisfied with their experience buying at Western Auto and that upon leaving the store are completely satisfied with their purchase.
Responsibilities- Reads and comprehends training manuals, service tickets, etc.
- Has basic knowledge about vehicles.
- Checks basic elements of the vehicle’s tires according to Western Auto’s methods for tire and courtesy inspections.
- Installs, replaces, and fixes tires and provides tire balancing services.
- Uses diagnostic equipment – tire installation machines and balancing, and tire repair equipment.
- Operates workshop lifts appropriately.
- Maintains the workshop by sweeping/mopping floors, cleaning equipment, emptying garbage bins, and cleaning parking areas.
- Handles a fast-paced work environment, stress, and stressful situations professionally.
- Is competitive and has a team player’s attitude.
- Follows company guidelines in terms of protection, safety, hygiene, and dress code.
- Can install batteries if a mechanics student and a supervisor is nearby.
Requires continually standing, bending, kneeling, twisting, turning around, and lifting weights up to approximately 75 lbs. (sometimes exceeding 75 lbs). Performs additional tasks as required.
Training Requirements- Completes Western Auto orientation training.
