Description
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Administrative Coordination
- Assist the Security Access Coordinator with day-to-day operations, including maintaining and implementing security procedures.
- Provide support in key management by distributing card key access and office keys, including replacements for lost or broken keys, and assisting with programming meeting room key cards.
- Participate in the preventative maintenance of door locks and changing lock cores.
- Review daily event logs and upcoming security plans to support operational readiness.
Reporting and Documentation
- Assist with key-related correspondence as directed, ensuring that records are archived in accordance with established guidelines and are readily retrievable.
- Support the creation and maintenance of security-related documentation, including incident reports, access logs, and communication materials, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
- Follow up on incomplete documentation or discrepancies as directed to support departmental accuracy.
Inventory and Budget Coordination
- Oversee procurement and inventory of security-related supplies and equipment.
- Prepare purchase quotes for necessary supplies and/or services using the correct financial coding required by budget guidelines.
- Assist with the creation and maintenance of the departmental budget as determined by the Director of Public Safety.
Event Coordination Support
- Act as a point of contact for security-related inquiries from internal departments and external vendors.
- Assist in the scheduling and coordination of additional personnel for special events to ensure that the facility is adequately monitored.
Other Skills and Abilities
- Work extended/irregular hours as necessary including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Professionally interact with diverse groups of people in high pressure situations. Interfacing with guests by moving with a crowd or large group is required.
- Communicate clearly and effectively via various mediums, including but not limited to writing, e-mail, phone, and radio.
- Able to respond quickly, courteously, and efficiently to any guest request or concern.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); two to four years security, safety and customer service related experience and/or training in the hospitality industry preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
PreferredExperience with security operations and procedures is a plus.
Certification in first aid and CPR preferred.
