This vacancy is located in the Winn Parish Child Welfare Office in Winnfield, LA. We’re looking for an Administrative Coordinator to serve as the first point of contact at the agency in our Child Welfare Office in Winn Parish, creating a welcoming environment for clients and visitors and providing administrative support that keeps our front office running smoothly.

This position provides clerical, programmatic, and administrative support functions for staff, applicants and clients of the Winn Parish Child Welfare office.

Job Duties:

NOTE:

Positions allocated at this level tend to focus on a few examples of work as listed below:

  • Serve as Lead Coordinator for all administrative operations.
  • Oversee office repairs, maintenance, and vendor services.
  • Serves as Time Administrator.
  • Monitor office expenditures, maintain budget tracking records.
  • Serves as Safety Coordinator.
  • Provides direct administrative and payment support to Child Welfare staff and clients.
  • Review forms for accuracy, perform data entry.
  • Process reimbursement to caseworkers for mileage and other expenses incurred while serving clients.
  • Perform CAFE/TIPS system updates.
  • Performs other duties as assigned for the smooth operation of the Department.

Position-Specific Details

Work Location: This vacancy is located in the Winnfield, LA Child Welfare department in Winn Parish.

Appointment Type: This position may be filled as a probational appointment or a job appointment that may last up to 48 months. Job appointments may convert to probational appointments. Also, it may be filled as a detail and promoted within 12 months or by promotion of a permanent classified employee.

Schedule:

Typically, work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday. Flexible work schedules are available after meeting certain criteria and is dependent upon the position you are applying for. Some positions require working shifts.
