Star Service of New Orleans, the leading commercial and industrial HVAC service provider, is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our team!

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and ready to take on a vital role within our accounting department. You'll work closely with our Accounting Team to manage daily financial operations while having opportunities for professional growth and development.

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoice processing, payment scheduling, and customer billing
• Assist with monthly account reconciliations and financial reporting
• Supervise the collections process, resolve payment issues, and ensure timely cash receipts
• Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for financial documents
• Support payroll processing and documentation
• Coordinate with vendors and customers to resolve account discrepancies
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Generate and distribute various financial reports as needed

• High school diploma or equivalent;
  Accounting or Finance degree is preferred!
• 4+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, GP, or any accounting software
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal
• Experience with construction or service industry accounting is a plus!
