Job Summary

Intralox L.L.C., the world leader in conveyor equipment solutions utilizing modular plastic conveyor belts, has a position available for an experienced Project Accountant. The qualified individual will play a key role on the accounting team by overseeing financial tracking, reporting, and analysis for company projects including capital projects, R&D initiatives, and billable customer projects. This position is responsible for setting up project structures, maintaining accurate project accounting records, reconciling costs, and managing fixed asset accounting.

The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, proactive, and experienced in project‑based accounting. CPA certification is preferred. This position will be based in Harahan, LA.

Responsibilities
  • Assign, maintain, and monitor project numbers and financial structures in Oracle
  • Prepare and review cost analyses for capital, R&D, billable, and non‑billable projects
  • Review coding of project expenditures to ensure accuracy and compliance with budgets and company policies
  • Partner with project managers, engineering, operations, and other teams to provide financial oversight and explain accounting impacts
  • Lead recurring cross‑functional meetings to review project status and financial implications
  • Maintain the fixed asset subledger, including asset additions, transfers, retirements, and depreciation
  • Collaborate with operations on process improvements and issue resolution
  • Prepare and maintain monthly roll forward schedules and account reconciliations
  • Prepare month‑end accruals and adjusting journal entries
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close processes
  • Provide I‑Expense support and serve as team technical resource
  • Support interim and annual audits
  • Assist in maintaining internal controls and process documentation
  • Participate in system improvements and business initiatives
  • Lead systems testing related to fixed assets and project accounting
  • Perform ad‑hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed
Requirements
  • BS degree in Accounting with 3‑5 years of relevant experience
  • Public accounting or manufacturing experience preferred
  • CPA preferred
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, including revenue recognition standards
  • Experience with Oracle or another major ERP system preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong problem‑solving and time‑management skills
