Student Recruitment Specialist

GEDU Global Education (GBS) is a higher education provider offering a range of sector‑relevant courses across ten campuses in London, Birmingham, Leeds and Manchester. Working in partnership with several of the UK’s leading higher education providers, we deliver vocational, undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in finance, accounting, business, construction, tourism, healthcare – and more.

Responsibilities
  • Track enquiries, applications, admissions data, and manage student recruitment pipelines.
  • Utilise CRM systems to maintain accurate records of interactions with prospective students.
  • Employ various communication channels – phone, email, virtual platforms – to engage with prospective students and nurture leads.
  • Offer information, advice, and guidance on Student Finance and available financial support to address learning barriers.
  • Assist with special projects and initiatives related to student recruitment and enrolment management as needed.

This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Qualifications
  • Sales acumen – identify the needs and goals of prospective students and recommend suitable programmes.
  • Communication skills – effectively communicate through in‑person interactions, phone, email and other platforms.
  • Customer service skills – provide exceptional service by addressing enquiries, concerns and needs.
  • Active listening – listen attentively to students’ needs and respond with tailored solutions.
  • Closing skills – guide students through the enrolment process and overcome objections.
  • Time management – prioritise tasks, follow up with leads and meet recruitment goals within deadlines.
  • Goal orientation – set ambitious targets and work diligently to achieve or exceed them.
  • Resilience and persistence – maintain motivation to meet recruitment targets despite challenges.
  • Program knowledge – maintain in‑depth knowledge of GBS programmes, admissions requirements and career outcomes.
