Location:
Loughborough
Pay Rate: £16.42 per hour
Hours:
Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm
Contract:
Temporary for 9 months (with potential to extend)
We are currently recruiting for a Production Supplier Specialist to join a global, market-leading organisation within the Bio Pharma sector. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience with an internationally recognised brand and work within a highly collaborative, quality-driven environment.
The Role
Reporting to the Production Quality Manager, you will be responsible for managing and developing operational relationships with Bio Pharma suppliers across multiple European countries. You'll play a key role in ensuring suppliers meet operational, quality, and compliance requirements while supporting Production Solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain strong operational relationships with Bio Pharma suppliers
Support supplier strategy development across Production Solutions categories
Work cross-functionally with internal teams including Quality, Product Management, and Production Specialists
Lead supplier onboarding activities including qualification, desktop audits, quality agreements, compliance, and renewals
Manage production documentation within Master Control
Partner with the Quality Team on change notifications
Support supplier business reviews through data collection and analysis
Write and maintain Work Instructions and functional SOPs
Triage and manage supplier-related issues, escalating where required and proposing solutions
Build, manage, and maintain accurate databases
Drive continuous improvement using Lean / Six Sigma methodologies
About You
Minimum 3+ years' relevant experience (e.g. operations, supply chain, quality, customer implementation, product management or similar)
Bachelor's degree in Quality, Supply Chain, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Highly organised with the ability to multitask and manage priorities
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Share Point
Experience with continuous improvement tools (Lean, Six Sigma, Pareto charts, pivot tables, etc.)
Desirable:
Knowledge of industry quality standards and regulations such as ISO 13485, FDA cGMP / cGxP
