Senior Metal Fabricator
Loughborough
£20 per hour
Permanent Role
Monday to Thursday (4 Day Week)
A well established metal fabrication company based in Loughborough is looking to recruit a high calibre Metal Fabricator to join their skilled workshop team.
The company specialises in the manufacture of bespoke retail point of sale (POS) metal displays and shop fitting products supplied to major retail brands across the UK.
This role would suit an experienced fabricator who enjoys producing high quality bespoke metalwork rather than repetitive production work.
Working a 4 day week Monday to Thursday, this is an excellent opportunity to join a stable and well run fabrication business with a strong order book.
The Role
Fabricating bespoke retail display units and metal shop fitting products from engineering drawings.
Typical duties include
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
Fabricating sheet metal components and assemblies
MIG and TIG welding mild steel and stainless steel
Folding, forming and assembling metal display units
Grinding, fettling and finishing to high cosmetic standards
Producing one off and small batch fabrication work
Working closely with the design and engineering teams
The Candidate
We are looking for a skilled fabricator, not just a welder.
You should have
Experience in metal fabrication or sheet metal fabrication
Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
MIG welding experience
TIG welding experience desirable
High attention to detail and finish quality
Experience producing bespoke fabricated products
Experience with in retail displays, shop fittings, architectural metalwork or bespoke fabrication would be highly advantageous.
