We are seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive Technical Operator to join our East Midlands Gateway (Derby) site for our new contract Tails
. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the continuous production of the product and maintaining equipment and machinery. This is a full‑time, permanent role, working Monday to Friday on rotating shifts: 06:00–14:00 / 14:00–22:00
, or Monday to Friday shift from 08:00–16:00
.
- Annual salary range: £27,613.21 – £28,993.87

- Operate and monitor production machinery to ensure efficient and safe performance
- Perform routine technical maintenance to minimise downtime and maintain productivity
- Troubleshoot equipment issues promptly to reduce disruption to operations
- Carry out preventative maintenance tasks in line with schedules and standards
- Previous experience operating and maintaining production machinery
- Ability to carry out routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues
- Basic mechanical or technical knowledge relevant to manufacturing equipment
- Good organisational and communication skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise own workload and work under pressure
