Cleaning Operative - Maternity Cover

Solo Service Group are recruiting a cleaning operative to join our team on a part‑time maternity cover basis at Ashmount School, Thorpe Hill, Loughborough, LE11 4SQ
.

We are looking for reliable and diligent individuals to join our team. We will provide all the necessary training, therefore we need you to bring the drive and commitment to support the collective success of the team.

Maternity cover, starting 20/04/2026
Pay: £12.21 per hour

An enhanced DBS is required for this role.

Your main aim will be to carry out a range of cleaning activities including mopping, sweeping, dusting, emptying bins and cleaning wash/shower rooms.

You will also:

• Ensure that all areas are cleaned to the highest standards at all times
• Maintain Health and Safety standards at all times
• Ensure equipment is cleaned, maintained and stored correctly
• Deal with any customer requests promptly and courteously

• Good attention to detail
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and use initiative while being part of a team
• Reliability and responsibility with a flexible approach to work
• Cleaning experience preferred; full training will be provided if necessary
