Role Overview
Infinitive Resources is seeking a reliable and proactive Facilities Operative to join the Loughborough Depot team. This role plays an important part in maintaining a clean, safe, and well‑organised depot environment across operational and office areas. The successful candidate will contribute directly to workplace standards, operational efficiency, and overall site safety.
This position is well suited to an individual who takes pride in maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient workplace. The Facilities Operative will be a valued member of the depot team, supporting both site standards and day‑to‑day operations.
Working HoursMonday - Thursday: 07:00 - 16:00
Friday: 07:00 - 13:00
Includes 1 × 30‑minute paid lunch break
- Rail shunting or rail movement licences
- Shot blasting qualifications or experience
- Additional plant or equipment certifications
- 25 days annual leave (pro‑rated based on joining date)

- Perform general cleaning and housekeeping duties across shop floors, offices, canteen areas, and welfare facilities
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and workplace presentation
- Support shop floor organisation and housekeeping activities
- Assist with waste management and material movements as required
- Operate a Forklift Truck (FLT) safely and in accordance with site procedures
- Replenish consumables and report supply requirements
- Identify and report hazards, defects, or maintenance issues
- Comply with all health & safety policies and safe working practices
- Valid Forklift Truck (FLT) Licence
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards
- Reliable, punctual, and safety‑conscious approach
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Good communication skills
- Experience working within a rail, engineering, or industrial environment
- Shot blasting experience or relevant qualifications
- Experience working in a depot or workshop setting
- Experience with rail vehicle movements, including shunting duties
- Experience with craning and other lifting activities
