We are looking for a Perm Production Planner to work for our Client in Loughborough, which is a family-run business that has been successful in their field for over 30 years. As a Production Planner you will be responsible for the smooth running of all orders. Pay:

  • £25,000 to £26,000 per annum depending on experience and knowledge

Hours:

  • 08:30 to 17:30 - Monday to Thursday
  • 08:30 to 15:00 Friday
  • 60 minute lunch break
  • 4 days a week is possible (Monday to Thursday)

Responsibilities

  • Place equipment and component orders with suppliers in the SAGE system under instruction from the Project Engineer.
  • Monitoring delivery dates to ensure that deliveries are made on time.
  • Keep in contact with suppliers as and when necessary.
  • Attend weekly production meetings and give updates on the current situation of equipment for contracts with customers.
  • Work with the Workshop Manager to ensure that any issues with delivery dates are quickly addressed.
  • Convey information on potential hold ups to Project Engineer and advise customers of any change in delivery dates.
  • Manage and monitor bonded stock.
  • Raising Sales invoices, monitoring payment due dates and handling delivery notes.
  • Reports to the Project Engineer.
  • Work closely with Project Engineer and Workshop.

Job Requirements

  • Have a working knowledge of SAGE.
  • Computer literate, interested in engineering and working with online databases (engineering knowledge is not required).
  • Be able to work as part of a team.
  • Be able to work independently, be proactive, practical and be in regular contact with suppliers to keep on top of the current delivery situation.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good accuracy and good administrative skills.
  • Willing to work overtime both during the week and Saturday mornings if required.
  • The permanent right to work in the UK.
