QTS Humanities Teacher

Full time/Part time History Teacher – QTS needed

My client secondary school, located in Melton Mowbray, Leicester,shire are looking for a qualified History teacher to join them  for a long-term position (at least one term possibly two) starting in January/Fec (2026) this year. The school are looking for an History teacher that can work five days a week - although part time will be considered - teaching a combination of KS3 and KS4 classes.  

It is imperative that the recruited teacher has experience of teaching history previously in a secondary school.

Academy leaders in this Ofsted rated ‘Good’ school have made vast improvements to the curriculum in the past few years, and you will be clear on what you need to teach. In your lessons students will follow a Mastery curriculum, spending a whole half term on each topic area. This allows them to really explore and dig deep into the languages that they are learning and establish links between topics as they build their understanding through the years.

To be successful in your application, you should:

Hold a relevant teaching qualification (QTS)
Have experience of teaching humanities in a secondary school
Be able to get to a school in Melton Mowbray
Have high expectations for yourself and the pupils you teach
Be available five days a week – starting in January/Feb 2026
